Additional Services

At First Step Design, “full-service” applies from the first draft to the completed project, and beyond. Along with the development of custom projects, additions, and renovations, we’ll take the work and worry out of your project with an array of additional services:

• New home construction: We work with builders and developers to maximize their investments in residential lots and properties under consideration. With an in-depth knowledge of municipal processes across the Greater Toronto Area, we bring over 16 years of experience to the process of new home – building requirements – management, zoning issues, and marketing concepts and details of new home construction projects.

• Committee of Adjustment coordination and representation: If your design or build plan varies from current bylaws, we’ll apply for a variance from the Committee of Adjustment of your municipality. We understand the Committee of Adjustment process, because we’ve committed time and energy to completing this process on behalf of clients for over 16 years. We’ll work as your agent to present the application at committee hearings, to prepare documentation, and even canvas your neighbourhood to ensure that every step has been taken to support the positive outcome of your variance claim hearings.
